Health Services offers
Screening for:
- Diabetes
- Hypercholesterolemia
- Thyroid Abnormalities
- Gynecologic problems
- Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs) [All except, we do not screen
for HIV. Instead, we refer the student to a private physician or Health
Horizon for this screening test.]
- Tuberculosis (TB) This test is required by Stephen F. Austin State
University. The test is performed only three days a week, Monday, Tuesday,
and Friday. The student must be able to return to the clinic on the third
day after the test to have the skin test read by a nurse. The TB skin test
cannot be repeated within 30 days. If a repeat test is required, there will
be a charge of $10.

- Some Immunizations
- Allergy Shots: may be administered by a nurse in the clinic if the student
provides the allergy injection medication. To obtain the allergy injection
medication the student must be under the care of an allergist. For further
