Doctoral Program
Educational leaders must meet the challenges of the new millennium. At SFA, the doctor of education with emphasis in educational leadership addresses these challenges: population growth issues, cultural diversity, policy analysis and design, problem solving, and the change process.
Program Features:
- Scholar-practioner faculty who understand and practice what they teach

- Synthesis seminars to connect and to extend learning experiences

This doctoral program focuses on developing leaders. Accepted candidates will become leaders who respond to school complexities with confidence and resolve. Students in this SFA advanced leadership program will:
- develop an understanding of leadership models and theory for application
- understand the social and political context in which schools operate
- apply theory and contextual knowledge to educational practice
- practice analytical and communication skills for leadership roles.
