How to Apply for Admission to the Program

Instructions
1. Determine whether you are eligible for the program. Check the Criteria for Admission for eligibility requirements.
2. Apply for admission to the Graduate School. The Graduate School web site has the information you will need.
3. Apply for admission to the Educator Certification Program. Submit the Application for Admission Form, with the Criminal History Check Form to the Educator Certification Office. [Note: To access the application forms, you will need the Adobe Acrobat Reader software. If you do not presently have the Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer, you may download the reader software and use it at no charge. To download the software, click here.]
4. Apply for a Certificate Plan. To do this you must submit to the Educator Certification Office: a completed Request for Certificate Plan a non-refundable $60 fee. your transcripts, showing all college coursework.
After these steps are completed and approved, the Certificate Officer will prepare a Certificate Plan that outlines requirements for initial certification. The plan requires limited additional general education courses, only one teaching field, and a professional education component that includes professional education courses, plus acceptable field experience.
