ACCUPLACER Testing
ACCUPLACER, Alternative to the THEA
ACCUPLACER is an acceptable alternative for THEA at Stephen F. Austin State University and is offered weekly. Students starting classes at other institutions need to check with the school they plan to attend to make sure their ACCUPLACER scores will be accepted.
Test Scheduling
PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED because space is limited. You must call 936-468-3958 to pre-register for ACCUPLACER. FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED. Test Results Available Same Day or Next. STUDENTS MUST WAIT 30 DAYS BEFORE RE-TAKING ACCUPLACER or your most recent scores will be canceled.
Place: Thomas Rusk Building, Room 328
Time: You must call 936-468-3958 to pre-register for ACCUPLACER.
Cost: $60.00 (Cash, check, money order payable to SFA, MasterCard, Visa, Discover, American Express).
Bring: Payment, valid photo identification with signature, and calculator – Only a four
function calculator (add, subtract, multiply and divide) with square root and percent
keys will be allowed. Scientific, graphing, and programmable calculators are not
permitted.
Identification Requirements:
CURRENT (NOT-EXPIRED) OFFICIAL PHOTO IDENTIFCATION: Original and valid (not expired) government-issued identification is required. Acceptable identification documents include passport with photo and signature, driver’s license with photo and signature, state identification issued by motor vehicle agency with photo and signature, or military identification with photo and signature. No other identification will be acceptable.
Additional Information
- Cellular telephones, beepers, cameras, and all photographic, communication, computer, and electronic devices are strictly prohibited in the testing room.
- Mechanical pencils and pens are not allowed in the testing room.
- Food, drinks, gum,candy and tobacco are not permitted in the testing room.
